JAZZ FOR KIDS AND FAMILIES
Swing Makes You Sing! is an exhilarating award-winning jazz concert on a mission to uplift, connect, and spread the joy of jazz to kids ages 2 to 102, inviting audiences to a rowdy, joyous party! The critically acclaimed ensemble (Upper echelon of joy! - PopMatters; Footstompin' - WPIX11) explores key elements of jazz (blues, swing, improvisation) in a highly engaging historically grounded manner, featuring virtuoso musical performance, exciting story-telling, and energizing movement (tap / swing dancing). Representing jazz as a Black American art form that grew beyond its community to embrace the values of diversity, the ensemble is composed entirely of female, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and immigrant musicians - reflecting our audience diversity and making jazz more relevant to them. Swing Makes You Sing! has delivered over 60 national and international engagements since 2021. Virtual and programming is available.

Our concerts can be supplemented with outreach community programming delivered stand-alone, customized and / or combined with each other to create a unique program that best fits educational & cultural goals, audience age, music experience, group size and the presenter's specific goals
